Kristi Honey is a recognized governance leader, board director, and Chief Administrative Officer for the Township of Uxbridge, where she oversees enterprise risk, financial stewardship, regulatory compliance, and organizational performance for one of Ontario’s fastest-evolving municipalities. With more than 25 years of executive leadership experience, Kristi is known for bringing an entrepreneurial mindset to the public sector—driving innovation, non-tax revenue growth, and modern service delivery while maintaining strong governance and accountability frameworks.

Kristi serves as an independent director on the board of Tantalus Systems (TSX: GRID), where she sits on the Audit & Risk and Governance Committees, and EfficiencyOne, also contributing to Finance and Management & Resources oversight. Her board experience spans audit, risk, ESG, and governance across regulated sectors including energy, utilities, and technology. Previously, Kristi is the former Chair of the Durham College board of governors, former Chair of the College Employers Council, and former Vice Chair of Trent University board.

Prior to her current role, Kristi served as Chief Information Security Officer at Ontario Power Generation, leading cybersecurity strategy in highly regulated nuclear and renewable environments (including NERC CIP and CSA N290). Earlier in her career, at 25, Kristi founded a global technology consultancy, scaling it into a multi-million-dollar enterprise recognized by Microsoft as a Top 5% Partner globally, before its successful sale when she was 31. At that time, Kristi was recognized as a Top 40 Under 40 in the Region of Durham by Durham Business Times.

A sought-after voice on governance in a digital age, Kristi writes and speaks on topics including board effectiveness, cybersecurity oversight, and leadership transformation. Her work has been featured in Women of Influence and Municipal World, where she explores the intersection of technology, risk, and public trust.

Kristi holds an ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors (Rotman School of Management, where she was valedictorian), a Global Competent Boards ESG designation (GCB.D), and an AI and business strategy certificate from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). She also holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Management.

In 2025, Kristi was recognized as one of Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women by WXN, reflecting her impact as a leader shaping governance, resilience, and innovation across both public and private sectors.
